Pursuant to Florida Statute 626.8651, the first step toward securing licensure as a Florida-licensed Public Adjuster is the completion of an approved Florida adjuster designation course.  AE21’s Certified Claims Adjuster (“CCA”) designation licensing program was the first “online” designation program approved under the authority of Florida Statute §626.221 and with the approval of the Florida Department of Financial Services, and it is widely reknowned as the best in the industry. The Certified Claims Adjuster(“CCA”) Designation program is not only the most comprehensive adjuster licensing program available anywhere in the United States for learning what it means to be an adjuster, how to handle claims across all of the major lines of insurance, and what it takes to best adjuster you can be, it is an absolute requirement for those wishing to become a Florida-licensed Public Adjuster. In fact, completion of the CCA Designation program is the 1st Step on the road to becoming a Florida Public Adjuster.  Completion of this 1st step allows a prospective licensee to waive the Florida Adjuster Examination and first secure a Florida 6-20 All Lines Adjuster license, after which the public adjuster candidate can move on toward completion of the remaining requirements to become a Public Adjuster.

Completion of this designation program also allows a prospective licensee to waive the Florida Adjuster Examination and secure a Florida All Lines Adjuster license.

This designation program is comprised of six (6) sections:

  • Introduction to Claims and Principles of Insurance
  • Casualty Adjusting
  • Property Adjusting
  • Automobile Physical Damage Adjusting
  • Residual Markets, Health, Adjuster Conduct, and Selected Statutes & Rules
  • Case Studies for Real LIfe All Lines Claims Adjusting
  • Final Exam

Each section offers a sequential, building-block approach to adjuster training that explains insurance principles, identifies factual scenarios with legal and contractual claim exposures, and concludes with best practice applications of claims analysis and adjustment.

Throughout the course, interactive quizzes gauge understanding and retention and refer the student back to parts not fully understood. After completion of each section the student is required to successfully pass a comprehensive exam of that area of study. After all five sections are completed, and before taking the Final Exam, the student participates in a comprehensive, two-part "real-life" case study that puts the student directly in the role of an adjuster and applies the principles of adjusting with claim decision-making, exactly the way an adjuster does it in the real world.  Finally, the student must pass a 100-question Final Exam, designed in exactly the same format as the state exam. After passing the final exam, the student will receive a Letter of Designation (aka Certificate of Completion) by email from AE21 Online to submit to Florida’s Department of Financial Services in exchange for a Florida All Lines Adjuster license. Alternatively, the student may ask AE21 to report completion directly to the Department.  All it takes is a phone call!

Course comes with complete Licensing Instructions and links directly to the Florida Department of Financial Services/Licensing Section.

Once you have secured your Florida All Lines Adjuster license, you must be then be appointed as a Public Adjuster Apprentice for a minimum of 6 months before sitting for the Florida Public Adjuster examination.

*Note: This course does NOT cover the Laws & Rules of Public Adjusting in Florida, which comprises about 30% of the Florida Public Adjuster Exam. That material is the subject of a companion course to the Adjuster Designation Course.  Please refer to the Course Catalog to enroll in this all-important course.
